Grieving is one\’s innate reaction to loss. It is the pain we go through when we lose something that or someone who we treasure as dearly as our own lives.

The following are a few samples of losses that can give you anguish:

- a breakup with someone you have are in a relationship with – loss of a job – you wasted the big chance to pursue your dream – a member of the family reveals to you he or she has a serious illness – the medical tests came in and you found out that you have a serious illness – you and your spouse are having a divorce – you had a fight with your best friend – the pet that you had for so long died – a person you love dies

All these instances can make us experience grief. Of all the examples cited earlier, we feel the most intense grief if a loved one – be this a son or daughter, a mother or father, or a spouse – dies. There is nothing that can ever be a substitute for their place in our feelings and minds.

These cherished people may have been all there ever was in our lives. And life would never be as it was without them. We experience the pain of having someone we love taken away from us. Nonetheless, it is in grieving that we cultivate the way to our own healing of the pain that we experienced with our beloved\’s demise.

All of us are entitled to express our pain. Yet we must choose safe ways to channel grief, which can foster the healing that we need after suffering from loss.

Grieving is often characterized by continual crying each time the memory of a loved one enters our mind. Crying is not the only indicator that we are sorrowful over the loss of a loved one. One can look unemotional on the outside yet is breaking up from the pain of loss within.

Also, grieving, in contradiction to what is usually said, does not last for a set time period. Grieving\’s span varies from person to person. No one can rush and quickly \”get over\” the grieving process. Time is a remarkable healer.

Searching for considerate memorial service directors and undertakers who could attend to your departed loved one\’s funeral services needs?
