We first met in a Brisbane pub in 2003. We didn’t exchange details at that time but met again at another Brisbane pub around 3 months later. We have been together ever since. Michael proposed on our 5th anniversary together. He had me convinced that it would never happen because he couldn’t afford a ring. Little did I know that he had opened a secret bank account and was saving for a ring. Glenn booked a room at the Stamford Plaza in Brisbane. After we had arrived, we went for a walk in the botanical gardens in the afternoon and I thought for sure he would propose then but he didn?t. We went back to our room to dress for dinner. Glenn had asked me to pick where we would go for dinner so I had selected the Pancake manor. After dinner he pulled the ring box out and put it on the table and said will you marry me. Glenn was so nervous he had this look on his face as if I was going to say no, but offcourse I accepted!
